PennDOT: No plans to fix or replace Donora-Webster Bridge
DONORA, Pa. -- Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials said they will not fix or replace the Donora-Webster Bridge because of costs.
Officials said it could cost $15 to $22 million to bring the bridge up to code and at least $25 million to replace the entire structure.
The 104-year-old bridge has been closed since July 2009 because of structural problems.
